 Icom IC-756 PRO/II/III Roofing Filters: These roofing filter can help reduce the third order Intermodulation from multiple strong signals in the 2 to 20 kHz region either side of the tuned frequency. For more detailed information on roofing filters please read "A few words about Roofing Filters" This mod is significantly more challenging to perform than Inrad's other roofing filter kits and requires removal of some SMT components, cutting of board traces, and modifying a shield, and putting small connectors on teflon RG-178 coaxial cables. It should only be performed by those with considerable technical skills who are comfortable working around delicate electronics and small surface mount components. The modification may cause some frequency response variation in the band scope screen output compared to an unmodified unit. This is due to impedance variations outside of the roofing filter passband. A two resistor network has been added before the filter to minimize this effect.

 Yaesu FT-2000 CW Filters: Inrad CW Filters: 500Hz and 300Hz CW filters for the sub receiver in the new FT-2000. There are two option slots for filters. We have a selection of Collins mechanical filters mounted on our custom pc plug in boards. These filters install in the same manner as the Yaesu filters.  Yaesu FT-1000MP/MKV/Field Roofing Filters: Inrad roofing filters can substantially reduce the third order Intermod from multiple strong signals in the 2-20kHz range on either side of the tuned frequency. For the FT-1000MP the mod is plug-in, with no soldering required and can be easily removed. For the Mark IV it will require soldering two connections. This mod applies to the new Field model also. For more detailed information on roofing filters please read "A few words about Roofing Filters" from Inrad. Complete installation manual for the FT-1000MP & Mark IV. NOTE: This unit cannot be installed if the Inrad 70MHz IF Mod is installed. You can only have one or the other installed, not both. |

 Kenwood TS-950 Series Roofing Filters: The TS-950 roofing filter mod consists of a 6-pole, 4 to 5 kHz wide filter followed by a high dynamic range feedback amplifier. The amplifier provides enough gain to override the filter insertion loss. The IMD dynamic range will be improved 5 to 15 dB for some signal spacings. Also, the blocking dynamic range will be improved up to 10 dB for close in signals. The roofing filter mod inserts a narrow band crystal filter between the RF assembly and the IF board. Reducing the bandwidth at this point in the radio helps to keep strong off-frequency signals out of the second mixer, where they can cause intermodulation. Transmission is not changed, as it does not pass through the roofing filter. This mod will work in all versions of the TS-950.
